Free Summer Neighborhood Meals

Partnering with the In Rivermont For Rivermont community organization, I designed fun, welcoming flyers, door hangers and yard signs for two different groups providing free summer meals for their neighborhoods from May to August 2025. I used the warm texture of colored pencils to evoke a sense of nostalgia for childhood summers. Seeing as most of these free community meals are being hosted in neighbor’s front yards and are loosely structured potlucks, we decided the best tagline for these promotional materials was, “Bring a dish, or just yourself!” In this age of increasing screen time, isolation and food insecurity, bringing neighbors together for community care and mutual-aid is more important than ever.
