Cuts of Grace
Cuts of Grace is a walk-in barbershop on historic Main Street in downtown Lynchburg, Virginia. After getting my hair cut by the owner Jessie for over a year, she mentioned that they were ready to update their shop branding. Jessie was looking for a website and marketing suite that they could grow with, as they are a bustling shop that is adding new stylists as their clientele steadily builds.
Using elements already existing in their shop, like their logo, chalkboards and olive green vining plants, I created a new marketing suite for Cuts of Grace that reflects their growing, down-to-earth environment. I started with a new 4x3ft hand-lettered pricing chalkboard and a smaller sidewalk pricing chalkboard. These were used as the cornerstone of the new website design and marketing materials.
Using hand-lettering and illustrations throughout, I designed practical, printable materials including a sign-in sheet, coloring pages, promotional flyers, a new QR code for business cards, and pricing print-outs for both their current prices and their new updated pricing that they are transitioning to. All of these materials are tied together with a promotional video, photos for social media and a fully integrated website that allows each stylist to update their availability through a connected Google calendar. This website also utilizes automated branded emails, a mailing list and a way for stylists to apply to work with Cuts of Grace.
